something I just realized: echo is one of the very few who’s called mccree ‘jesse’. everyone else in overwatch, blackwatch, or otherwise usually calls him mccree or something derogatory. not sure what blizzard intends to do with that down the line, but for now it’s good character development. along with how echo tenderly held and inspected his metal arm.
I don’t even know Echo frick but the ship is sweet
McCree has offered his hand plenty of times to Echo. Whether it was to help her down a step or to simply lean down and kiss her hand. It’s just something he’s always done for her. For her to find metallic fingers where it was once flesh startles Echo.
‘Cowboy’ started off as a statement from Echo when first identifying McCree. Slowly, it turned into a playful term of endearment along with ‘Partner.’
They don’t really do kisses as Echo’s facial projection doesn’t have many sensors for physical contact. Her hands, however, is where she feels textures the best. Her physical expressions of love are either holding McCree’s cheek or running her thumb over his lips. McCree has no problem kissing her palms or simply holding her hand over his heart.
What if Echo isn’t just an AI. What if she is something more than that? What if Overwatch created Echo by merging human consciousness from deceased team member with AI?
What if not. She still CAN have human physique because she is an AI and she can choose how she wants to look and guess what, she can even identify with a gender if she wants to. She is not JUST A ROBOT with AI. She is an intelligent being, with dignity and worth respect just as McCree showed it in the cinematic.
