one of the wildest things ive ever watched is a christian married couple doing a lets play on a mecha game and the husband brings up evangelion then explains it and how it ends. the wife then goes out of her way to like defend christianity and why none of that makes sense, that god wouldn’t let it happen or how humanity couldn’t possibly contain angels no matter how advanced technology would get. it was just really uncomfortable esp. when the dude goes “honey its just a cartoon”
